Your neck has groups of muscles like any other part of your body and should be exercised accordingly. There are devices on the market that help you more easily and efficiently strengthen your neck while minimizing your risk of injury or strain.
Stretch Your Neck
We tend to carry a tremendous amount of tension in our neck and shoulder areas. Being as such, it’s a great practice to stretch your neck in the morning and at night. There are great resources online for potential stretches to work targeted areas of your neck. Yoga is a great tool for stretching your neck, too!
Change Your Setup
Invest in a standing convertible desk system at work if you’re able. Make sure your monitor is slightly above eye level. Invest in a good bed and an ergonomic pillow. Adjust your car seating settings to be the most supportive for your neck and your back to reduce neck pain and neck injury.
